Another enhancement request to add to below, when a ‘Task Type’ is selected, the owner field that defaults should auto-complete. For example – if I choose ‘Case Manager Instruction’ – when I tab out of the ‘Task Type’ field, the ‘Assign To’ field should populate with the UserID of the CM on the case – so the user knows the task is assigning to someone. The way it works now those default ownerships fields just display blank when the task is being created, so I can see how a user would think they need to complete them – they are not trusting that the system is auto-assigning since the field is blank – and I can understand why. So I think we currently have lots of scenarios where team members are taking the time to complete either the ‘Assign to’ or Group Queue’ fields – when they really don’t have to – so it’ creating inefficiencies.
Here is an example of what the task QT looks like after I chose ‘Case Manager Instruction’ – ‘Assign To’ is blank – how would a user know/trust that the task is correctly assigning to someone. Especially now with this new functionality that was just discovered – if it’s blank but never been ‘tabbed through’ – it will auto assign based on defaults, but if it’s blank and has been ‘tabbed through’ – it will create with no owner.
