Our scheduled FTP solution is hosted on vsw-p-ftpapp and our ftp server is vswd-prd-ftp / ftp.sammonsfinancialgroup.com. The employee who wrote the scheduled ftp app is no longer with the company and the engineer who supported the solution is also no longer with the company.
The software itself is partially documented but has many problems, and also many policy violating issues around service accounts used, password strength and rotation, and password rotation for third party accounts.
Knowing that Sammons has a buy before build policy for new software, I would like to evaluate and implement a new solution in concert with my manager and the solutions architects.
